On Nov. 2,2009, Adriana was
diagnosed with a
medulloblastoma. It was a brain tumor in the back of
her
head. She had two surgeries to remove the tumor and
subsequently
undergone six weeks of daily radiation treatment as well as
weekly
chemo injections. She is now undergoing
nine cycles of
maintenance chemo. She has responded very well to
all of the
medication. Because of the location of the tumor, she has
lost
some balance and motor control, as well as some vision. She
has
physical therapy twice a week to help her regain her strength and
balance. Adrianna will soon finishf her first cycle
and be
admitted to ACH for a 3 day stay to begin the second cycle,
followed by two weekly chemo injections. Everyone
is still hopeful that she will continue to
progress. She has proven to be a fighter and is working very
hard
to get everything back.
